clocks

These clocks have hands rotating around the clock faceface. Digital clocks have LCD and LED displays and use numbers to show the time. The first mechanical clocks used moving gears that were used to progress the hour pointing hand. The oldest clock in the world was created in the year 1386.

Polynesian Explorers - Rap

Now this is a story all about how
Polynesian explorers traveled all around
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how

Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air"

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket
I put my Walkman on and said "I might as well kick it"
First class, yo, this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmm, this might be all right
But wait, I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, and all that
Is this the type of place that they should sent this cool cat?
I don't think so, I'll see when I get there

I hope they're prepared for the Prince of Bel-Air

what makes a good friend

What makes a good friend? Being a good friend is being
kind and careful for
them. If your friend is crying
because he tripped then help him up and say are you alright
And if your friend tells you a secret don’t tell anyone cause the secret
Was only for you. Being a good friend means being helpful for your friend.

Being trustworthy being trustworthy means never lie to your friend.
Lying makes
You a bad friend.

I think being a bad friend is lying to your best friend,
stealing from your,friend and

Shutting your friend down.

polynesian history

Tracing Polynesian languages places their prehistoric origins in the Malay in Taiwan. Between about 3000 and 1000 speakers of Austronesian languages began spreading from Taiwan into Island Southeast Asia.

The unassuming sweet potato has been at the centre of a decades-long debate about when ancient peoples in the Americas and Polynesia first made contact. The prevailing explanation is that Polynesian voyagers had sailed to South America and brought the sweet potato back to the islands on their return.

Polynesian explorers. About 3,000 years ago Polynesian culture developed in West Polynesia. Skilled navigators in double-hulled canoes gradually discovered remote islands to the east, using their knowledge of the stars and the winds to return home safely. Groups would then set off to start.

I think Polynesia comprised islands diffused throughout a triangular area with sides of four thousand miles. The area from the Hawaiian Islands in the north, to Easter Island in the east and to New Zealand in the south were all settled by Polynesians.

Polynesian culture developed at the eastern edge of this region in Samoa and Tonga. Around 300 B.C. or earlier, seafarers from Samoa and Tonga discovered and settled islands to the east – the Cook Islands, Tahiti-nuiTuamotus, and Hiva Marquesas Islands.

Herb Kawainui Kāne. Polynesia began with the voyaging canoe. More than three thousand years ago, the uninhabited islands of Samoa and Tonga were discovered by an ancient people. With them were plants, animals, and a language with origins in Southeast Asia; and along the way they had become a seafaring people.
